Ice
Skating, Skiing,
Snowmobiling and Ice Fishing

Colby is stocked with landlocked salmon and trout for superb ice fishing.

skating is available on our premises, weather providing, or at the Olympic rinks in Lake

Coast's steepest vertical drop at Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort.
Cross country skiers will enjoy the famous Jack Rabbit Trail, which adjoins our property
and runs between the towns of Saranac Lake and Keene. It's one of the most scenic cross
country skiing trails in the country.

the true thrill seeker, try a bobsled ride.

Saranac
Lake Winter Carnival
Every February Saranac Lake holds its Winter Carnival, the oldest on the east coast.
There is something for everyone; parades, firework displays, music and sporting events.
The festivities begin with the coronation ceremonies, followed by a dance with live music.
After the crowning of the Winter Carnival King & Queen, the Ice Palace lights are turned
on, followed by the first of two firework displays. Over the next two weeks you will enjoy
snowshoe softball, ski races, motorcycle, and ATV ice races, and other sporting events.
Indoor activities include plays, art shows, a comedy show and musical events.
The
Ice Palace is the crown jewel of the two week long event. Each Winter Carnival, the design
of the palace changes. It is filled with multicolored lights, and truly a spectacular site
at night. The closing ceremonies includes the storming of the Ice Palace, with a slideshow
of the Carnival events followed by the second fireworks display. Make your reservations
early as this is one of Saranac Lake's biggest events of the year.
